Especially when you've had a bad day. But also when you're having a good day and you feel like you should learn from the bad day you had yesterday.. Yup, welcome to my world.
Besides the searing pain and anger that's self directed, the shame and emotional ache that follows bouts of frustration, there's also the need to resolve the strained relationships. Done. Time to move on.. "Don't let things affect you so much." "Let it roll off your back." "Use a softer tone."
Thanks for the advice, but honestly, sometimes it's all too late. And here's the pride in me, I felt like I deserved to have a day to struggle with life and all of it's pressures. And to some degree, it felt good to just be frustrated about it, and not put on the happy (fake) face.
Important thing, today is a new day. My kitties were affectionate and sad to see me leave for work. My co-workers are hilarious (currently listening to the Seasame Street 'Aliens' discover a phone..). Work-out and some laundry tonight. There are things to look forward to and work to be done..
And today, I'm happy to do it all.
