Friends..

So, I haven't really shared the story that brought this wonderful man and best friend into my life. But I will, sometime.

Today, I just want to share a great milestone in that journey.. I've been 'friends' with M for a year now.. (thanks Facebook!) :P

How little did I know how important a decision to be 'friends' with this guy from work would be.. I've found love, acceptance, joy, humor, adventure, challenge, courage, and security all wrapped up and so perfectly suited to me. (Gushy, but who cares?!)


So, what has happened in a year?

(Yippie! I get to make a list!)
- Lost a beloved Grandfather
- Celebrated 2 family weddings, and a few friends'
- Celebrated a few family additions (2 born, one on the way)
- Exercised.. but need to do more.. (I will run again!)
- Moved into an apartment of my own.. which I love.
- Bought new tires for my car.
- Did two tax returns! (Okay, so last year's was done last minute, and this year's was done early!)
- Got into two more car accidents.. Everyone is fine.
- Celebrated new jobs with friends, and mourned the loss of others.
- Learned more about email, customer service, management, and process creation at work

With the influence of M:
- Learned how to split holiday/vacation times with multiple families..
- Visited 13 states.. 2 or 3 for the first time..
- Found joy in taking pictures with a 'good' camera
- Attended every home Illinois Men's Hockey games! (And a lot of away games..)

Who knows what the future holds..
